Development of industrial VR simulators for equipment

Unique offer

Equipment operator simulators —

drills of routine and emergency operations on a digital replica of a machine, crane, drilling rig, fuel pump.

Welding and assembly simulators —

welding-seam and assembly drills with technique and quality scoring.

Assembly line simulators —

onboarding of new operators without halting production or causing scrap.

Digital twins of equipment —

a precise 3D copy of a unit built from the client’s CAD models with correct kinematics and physics.

Progress analytics —

error logging, operation timing and competency scoring per employee with LMS export.

Adaptation and porting —

development for Meta Quest, HTC Vive, Pico, Varjo with cross-device parity.

Why choose us:

Expertise in industrial VR simulators for oil & gas, metallurgy, machinery.

We use modern engines (Unity, Godot).

Customisation to client and audience needs.

Fast prototype and MVP launch.

Support and updates after release.

Strict quality control and risk mitigation.

How we work:

1

Consultation and analysis

We define equipment, operations, target learning metrics and budget.

2

Scenario development

A methodologist together with the client’s technologist describe steps, success criteria and checkpoints.

3

CAD import and 3D content

We import and optimise models, tune the physics of components.

4

Development and integration

We program logic, integrate analytics and LMS.

5

Testing

Pilot with 10–30 operators, FPS and motion-sickness checks, refinement.

6

Support

Trainer onboarding, scenario updates, SLA support.

Benefits of cooperation:

  • Experienced VR developers with industrial projects.
  • Flexible engagement models: from single tasks to long-term support.
  • Transparency in stages, timeline and budget.
  • Cost optimisation through experience and proven solutions.
  • Constant feedback and progress demonstration.

Cases

VR excavator operator simulator

Industrial VR simulator for practicing basic and advanced excavator operations: digging, moving soil, working with the boom and bucket. Realistic physics and controls let the operator master safety procedures and precision of work with no risk of damaging the equipment.

Type: VR simulator for heavy equipment operation

Platform: Unity

VR simulator of an industrial facility

Virtual replica of a real production facility for safe staff training on equipment. The user explores equipment (including a demethanizer), receives technical data via information panels, performs measurements with virtual tools and practices handling shut-off valves.

Additional examples

— training VR scenarios

VR emergency-response simulator

Simulation of an off-normal event at an industrial facility — a pressure drop in the cooling system. The operator receives an alarm, follows the procedure, ascends to the second level and adjusts compressor parameters on the control panel, practicing the correct action algorithm for the incident.

Type: VR simulator for emergency-response drills

Platform: Unity

AR visualization of engineering utilities

Augmented reality for a construction site: an accurate 3D layout of future engineering utilities (pipes, ductwork, systems) is overlaid in real time onto the real interior of a building under construction. An adjacent direction to VR simulators — industrial-object visualization.

Type: AR solution for construction and engineering projects

Platform: Unity

AR guide for dynamic mixer replacement

Using HoloLens and Manifest software, specialists create and follow a step-by-step procedure for replacing the dynamic mixer on an insulating glass sealing machine.

Type: AR solution for maintenance and training

Platform: HoloLens + Manifest

F.A.Q.

What equipment do we simulate?

Machine tools, assembly lines, drilling rigs, fuel pumps, cranes, welding equipment. We import the client’s CAD models in STEP/IGES/SolidWorks formats.

Which VR devices are supported?

Meta Quest 2/3/Pro, HTC Vive, Pico, Varjo, Valve Index. We use OpenXR for cross-device compatibility.

How long does development take?

An MVP for a single operation — 8–12 weeks. A full simulator for a chain of operations — 4–6 months.

How is physics realism achieved?

We work with the client’s engineers, using real mass, friction and inertia parameters. We validate on live equipment.

LMS integration?

SCORM 2004, xAPI/Tin Can, REST. We work with Moodle, iSpring and corporate systems.

What about NDA?

All projects under NDA. 3D models and data are hosted on the client’s side or in a private environment.
